Intermediate products. The lactic acid monomer is transformed into an intermediate product, dehydrated lactic acid, or lactide, by a special concentration process.

Aggregation. After vacuum purification of lactide monomer, a solvent-free dissolution process is used to complete the ring opening action to polymerize the monomer.
